Beyond the ordinary

This is where the journey is recorded. I'm glad you're here to be a part of the story.

Through the Years

I have always been creative and artsy, but never considered myself an artist, or writer, or baker, or seamstress, or vocalist etc.  I enjoy being creative, but the earworms of doubt and responsibility have always had a home in my thoughts... it's not a solid income, I need a real degree, I need a real job if things go topsy turvy, my focus should be my kids, I need to be a stay at home mom. All of which I believe was good for me and my family at the time. Using my skills and creative talents I entertained my children through lockdowns of the early 20s. I helped many children in early development stages have fun and express themselves. And now I can grow past the limiting perspective of those earworms and plan to formalize my artistic talent!

University

I have a bachelors of science degree in communication disorders, focusing on speech pathology and audiology of all ages. I have experience working with intellectually and physically disabled adults (ages 21+), young children needing social and behavioral coaching, and developmentally delayed children.

Next steps

I am seeking formal art courses to fulfill a requirement most art therapy programs require.

Looking into several programs has gotten me excited! I'm looking forward to increasing my knowledge base and creating works of art, one step at a time.
